Lakhta Center is a multifunctional complex in St. Petersburg with the Gazprom headquarter and public spaces occupying a third of the area. The last tower crane has been removed at the construction site of the Lakhta Center high rise building. The press service of the Multifunctional Complex told Fontanka that all the works that the cranes were to perform have been completed ahead of schedule. Having completed their work, the steel giants disassembled themselves.
"We aimed to remove the cranes by the semi-finals, but we managed to do it earlier. We hope that the completed architectural appearance of the Tower will inspire our national team to win", Lakhta Center Executive Director Alexander Bobkov commented for Fontanka.
It should be reminded that Lakhta Center Tower was built using four self-erecting tower cranes, the total height of the crane that installed the spire reached 479.65 meters.
