Two traffic circles to appear in Primorsky district

Two traffic circles to appear in Primorsky district
Two traffic circles will appear in the area of Lakhta Center. These will be one of the stages of the construction of the future М32А highway which will connect Primorskoye highway in the area of Lakhta Razliv with Konnolakhtinsky avenue. According to the Committee for the Development of Transport Infrastructure of Saint Petersburg, the design of two traffic circles is pending approval of GlavGosExpertisa of Russia and the construction can be started as early as this year.

One circle will be built between Primorskoye highway and Lakhtinsky avenue. It will provide an opportunity of an unimpeded access to Lakhta Center. Those driving from the city to the public and business center will be able to make a U-turn.

The second circle will appear in the area of Primorskoye highway and Savushkina street. It is needed for a free exit from Lakhta Center. Due to the new circle the traffic flow in the direction to Leningrad region and back will be released from burden. The new facilities will improve the situation in Primorkoye highway, the traffic burden will increase when Lakhta Center is completed in 2018.

Traffic circles are need not only for Lakhta Center, they will speed up traffic towards Leningrad region.
