Lakhta Center is a multifunctional complex in St. Petersburg with the Gazprom headquarter and public spaces occupying a third of the area. Construction was completed in October 2018, now start work on the arrangement of business and public areas. The opening will take place in about a year, when the complex will be fully prepared to meet guests.

Metro builders plan that in the area of Lakhta where the Gazprom headquarters are planned to be built, a metro station will appear.
According to Metrostroy Director General Vadim Alexandrov the company plans to build a new line up to the area of Lakhta where Gazprom headquarters will be built. The metro station is likely to appear in the area of Savushkina street in 2020.
At present the plans of the development of Petersburg metro has been approved by Vice Governor Yuriy Molchanov. And on 5th - 6th June the plans will be reviewed by the governor of the city. Then the city’s parliament will discuss the development of the metro.
A metro station in the area of Savushkina street will not be the extension of the line going from Spasskaya metro station but is likely to be a part of a new line.
